Figurative Illustrations

Medium used – Adobe Illustrator

This is illustration is a representation of the breaking down of fragmented thoughts in a person’s mind. This is an example of a chance collage where I combined different pieces that I came upon by chance, and by tangents and did not think much while placing the elements together. It is also an outburst of cultural values and aggression in the minds of people and represents Dadaism.

This is a figurative illustration – that is clearly derived from real sources and real objects and are therefore by definition representational. It is defining the surreal artist’s mind that seeks beyond perceived or beyond reality.

I was drawn towards metaphors that define limits and what is beyond them. Sky is the limit was a very common one. How claustrophobic. Then I came to – the only limits are the ones you make. Which then led me to – The limit is in the mind – not in the sky.

A figurative Illustration – Your mind will help you abstract your thoughts to break the limits

As said by Freud, human mind is a site to be excavated. I have always been fascinated with Freud’s model of psyche and the implications that can be drawn from it.This is an artist’s human mind that is limitless full of creative thoughts and is ready to be excavated.

A cerebral retreat of the survivor’s mind as a persona who does wan to look back but wants to show all its expressions and emotions without any kind of hesitation. The mind has various thoughts which are jumbled up as a puzzle but are well formed in their own way. These are a representation of dreams and help recover a sense of wholeness of you are.

It is a dreamlike experience that typically involves being deeply under the grip of the events experienced, without much planned control or wakeful awareness.

Assuming that the original works were in response to something, what analogies exist now, that mirror or echo the concerns of the time in which these strategies originated?

The surrealism was a movement in response to the world that turned apart by World War I. In today’s world I think this concept could be somehow associated with virtual reality that creates a multi sensory experience – happening at present moment which can evoke certain archetype within viewer and trigger the emotional memory bank but doesn’t have to rely on these 2 mechanisms because it has an ability to create an archetype of its own – an experience that has never happened before.

Hi, This is a very handsome image!
And as a result, I find myself suspicious! I want to know more and see more tests by in which you use ” chance collage where I combined different pieces that I came upon by chance, and by tangents and did not think much while placing the elements together. It is also an outburst of cultural values and aggression in the minds of people and represents Dadaism.” Because this seems very composed and pretty – so I’d say for it to become robust, the technique would need to be examined over several iterations.

In addition – can you define where you see outbursts in here?
