I decided to continue on my experiments in augmenting various objects in the refrigerator.

I decided to augment a diwali sweet box sent by my mother to narrate the emotions associated with the sweets which she prepared and couriered to my from India. My aim was to create an interactive experience to narrate a hidden emotion or story behind an object.

I then augmented a box of eggs to communicate a different concept.

What’s it made of? What can you make out of it?

The user can interact with the object by following the instructions and getting a step by step guide while preparing a dish. This interaction could be used by students or amateur cooks as a guide for cooking with different ingredients.

Technology, Process: I worked with the virtual buttons from Vuforia for the interactions using unity as the gaming engine. I then built an app for my IOS phone.

I kept running into errors while trying to play videos using the virtual buttons. Unity crashed several times when I tried to load particle systems. So, I had to make a lot of compromises when it came to the final output.
